LadySeed Marksmanship Clinic
Project Appleseed is hosting a Ladies Rifle Marksmanship clinic at HISR March 12-13, 2022.
Project Appleseed is part of a nationwide, non-profit, educational organization that teaches rifle marksmanship skills and the history of our Nation’s founding. This will be an event for ladies only with a primarily female instructor crew. New shooters are welcome and will learn to use a rifle safely and to hit a target reliably. Seasoned shooters are invited to hone the skills needed to shoot more accurately. During this two-day program we will teach shooting from three positions (prone, seated/kneeling, standing) at 25 meters, but with targets scaled to simulate shooting at 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards. Instruction will include the six steps to firing a shot, natural point of aim, steady hold factors, zeroing a rifle efficiently, and much more. Cost for the weekend is $75 for adults and $30 for youth, military, and law enforcement. Register online at https://goappleseednow.org
As part of this special event HISR has agreed to waive range fees for the weekend and Project Appleseed is providing 5 scholarships for girls that would like to attend. Loaner equipment and ammo is available. Please let us know if you are interested in attending but are unable to commit to both days.
