Read the Room Like a Spy: The AWARE Program
We’ve all watched a movie scene–the one where the operative enters a crowded room, does a quick scan, then effortlessly identifies who the boss is, who the enforcers are, who he’ll have to deal with first, and who to ignore…
And you start wondering, “Is that possible? How does that work?”
At any given moment, a wealth of information is being communicated to you through behavioral indicators, but it’s only useful if you are paying attention.
The AWARE™ Program (Advance warning, Avoidance, and Response to Emergency) will enable you to tap into this “hidden” language happening just under the surface of everyday environments.
This course will be presented by Ryan Rushton, the owner of Claymore Defense, teaching the skills he acquired while working in the Intelligence Community operating overseas under extremely hostile circumstances.
AWARE is rooted in well-documented behavioral sciences, neurology, and physiology. It’s proven in the real world, and until recently has been limited to a select few defense, intelligence, and law-enforcement professionals. It is now available to you.
Some key skills we’ll cover:
- A deep understanding of people’s intentions based on their behaviors
- How to “read a room”; interpreting what is happening in any setting
- Instantly identify suspicious or deceptive activity
- Quickly make the best decision to avoid or respond to a threat
This may be the most important self-protection training you can get–avoiding danger is always better than reacting to it.
The course will be offered at Hobbs Island Shooting Range on Sunday, October 20, 10am-3pm.
This 5-hour course is a non-contact class, suitable for all physical abilities, and you will receive a physical copy of our training manual to help you continue building your skills.
